HER STORY
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
When her own children started advancing in sports, Dr. Magdalena witnessed firsthand the mental pressures and challenges that young athletes experience. She learned that young athletes typically struggle with managing their expectations, developing trust in their skills, controlling their emotions, overcoming fear of failure, and increasing mental toughness and patience, to name a few.
COLLEGE & PROFESSIONAL ATHLETICS
Over the last 17 years Dr. Magdalena has been guiding her son’s dream to play baseball. Her son, now a professional baseball player and former NCAA Division I athlete, competed in the SEC, ACC, Cape Cod League, and New England College Baseball League. She supported him during his NCAA Division I student transfer portal process, and she celebrated with him and the rest of the family when he was selected in the 5th round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks!
HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS
Dr. Magdalena’s daughter is a high school volleyball player who has been playing since age 9 at both school and club levels. Dr. Magdalena cheered loudly when her daughter’s middle school team won the region championship and her daughter was named the team MVP. She also recently supported her daughter back to playing volleyball after she sustained an injury that cut her JV volleyball season short.
